Join the San Diego Italian Language Meetup Group for a pleasant evening of Italian conversation. All levels of proficiency are welcome! The wonderful Osteria Romantica in La Jolla Shores provides an authentic Italian atmosphere and very tasty (and reasonable) Italian specialties and wines. We meet there on Tuesday to take advantage of their half-price wine bottle specials.

We generally have a nice mix of native-speakers and Italian-learners at our monthly meetings, enabling our participants to converse at their level of fluency. This is an ideal way to combine a pleasant social evening with a learning experience.

There is no charge for attending. Since we have to split the total bill by hand, we ask you to please bring cash, and perhaps practice counting in Italian. Weather permitting, we'll have the entire outdoor terrace. It's heated, but please remember to bring a jacket.

To get to the restaurant from the I-5 northbound or the 52 westbound, take the La Jolla Parkway exit, go down the hill to the 4th traffic light and turn right onto La Jolla Shores Drive (Encon Gas Station corner). Go to next traffic light, take a left onto Avenida de la Playa drive about four blocks, the Ostaria will be on your left at the end of the block of restaurants with a big Christmas-lit palm tree trunk in front.

From I-5 Southbound, turn east onto 52, take first exit, Regents road and get back onto 52 westbound, then follow instructions above. For some unexplainable reason, you cannot turn directly from I-5 south to 52 west.
