Questa sera diamo il film "Pane e Tulipani" con Licia Maglietta e Bruno Ganz come protagonista e Silvio Soldini come direttore. E' un film dell'anno 2000 con la lingua italiana e sottotitoli in italiano. (Piu' essatto i sottotitoli sono per i "non udenti" - significa che, quando il telefono squilla, i sottotitoli dicono anche "telefono squilla".
La storia riguarda Rosalba, una casalingua in vacanza con suo marito e figlii, che e' dimenticata e lasciata per caso ad un Autogrill. Non e' possibile che lei raggiunge sua familia e Rosalba decide di fare la sua propria vacanza - una vacanza lontano dalla sua vita quotidiana. E' un film amusante e era molto popolare in Italia.
Ci incontriamo al LOOM dalle 1830 per chiacchierare ma il film comincia puntualmente all 1930.

This evening we will be showing the film "Pane e Tulipani" with Licia Maglietta and Bruno Ganz in the main roles with Silvio Soldini being the director. This film was released in 2000, it is in colour with italian language and italian subtitles. (More exactly the subtitles are for the hard of hearing - this means that if the telephone rings it will say in the subtitles - telephone rings.)
The story is about Rosalba, a housewife on holiday with her husband and children , who is forgotten and left at a Motorway Service station. Unable to get back to her family she decides to go on her own holiday - one far away from her normal daily life. This is a very amusing film and was very popular in Italy when it came out.
We will meet at LOOM bar from 1830 for a chat but the film will commence punctually at 1930.

"I thought it was a good film with a simple storyline, it should be an inspiration to all unappreciated housewives who feel that their lives have been stifled due to certain circumstances. I found it difficult to understand what was being said, but with the inclusion of the subtitles I was able to follow what was happening. I would like to commend the organisers for using Italian subtitles rather than English." -
