Some of you are already aware of this, however I wanted to bring everyone up to date so we can hopefully discuss the future of the group over the next 2-3 months.

Basically, I will be returning to the UK and going back to full-time study from next January. Although I will continue to hold meetups until then, this means that if the group is to continue past January, one or more people need to be willing to step in as organiser(s).

Being a meetup organiser does require a bit of your time, but can be a very rewarding activity. If you can't commit to organise an event every month, perhaps 2 or more people would share the task (maybe one based in the Hague, one in Leiden?) and organise something every other month.

There are also some costs involved as Meetup charges a monthly fee to organisers; however you can choose to ask group members to contribute (which shouldn't be a problem in a group the size of this one), plus I also have a suggestion for reducing this fee.

In the meantime, if you can make it to our upcoming meetup this Thursday in Leiden, December's meetup in The Hague or January's (Leiden again), it would be lovely to see you there before I leave!
