Welcome, Oxnard Italian Language Enthusiasts!

Meet and mingle with local Italian language and culture lovers! Come to an Italian Language Meetup and make new amici as you practice speaking, build your vocab and finally figure out those verb conjugations! All ages and levels welcome. Ciao! The meetup format will be decided by the group at our first meeting. I envision a casual social format with an emphasis on conversational Italain, from beginner to fluent. From there people can conversation buddy-up with speaking practice partners if they would like or we can choose a theme for each meeting to emphasize various conversation and language areas such as food, travel, family etc. So whether you are a beginner or fluent speaker, if you've been to italy or plan to go, this might be the group for you. My husband and I have traveled to Italy once or twice a year for 15 years and plan to spend more time there each year. He's an Italian wine importer who speaks very passable (if grammatically poor) Italian and I speak at a basic level but understand a little more.
