About ITALIAN FRIENDS of South Bay/LA

Do you long to connect with other Italian amici?

We did too. This group was born out of an idea of a group of friends in the south bay who would like to get together locally. And with crazy gas prices and LA traffic who could blame us for not wanting to spend an hour in the car?

And we desire to connect other local amici who share our culture and heritage. This group is open to people of Italian heritage--both natives and Americans born of Italian parents.

We will be doing a variety of activities:
-Dining out
-Dinner parties in private homes
-Italian food cooking lessons (Tiramisu to pizza to everything in between)
-casual cafe get togethers
-Picnics/potlucks
-Italian wine tastings
-Italian card & board games
-any/all things considered Italian and fun


All meetings scheduled will take place in the south bay--mainly the beach cities of Redondo, Hermosa, Manhattan & Torrance.
Sometimes we will plan things, sometimes we will be totally spontaneous.
"Who wants to go to breakfast tomorrow morning"
"Im on my way to (insert your favorite coffee place), meet me there"
"Im making some pizza right now, who wants to come over"
"Vuoi andare per un bicchiere di vino?"

I totally welcome other members to call such spontaneous meetings--thats what friends do :) Use the message board or email blast function to do so. (in the beginning, I request you ask me first, then as we all get to know each better, I will make it free for all)

We will also use this group to schedule carpools to join Italian Language group meetings on the Westside and in Hollywood, as well as our amici in the Euro Friends group.

Although we are a very down-to-earth bunch, this will be an exclusive group, only open by approval, with the goal to maintain a close knit group of friends. Because many events will be small in number and held in private venues/homes, this will help us to respect the privacy of our members.
